The space agency has launched a quite a few suborbital missions from its own spaceports, made a mixed series of orbital attempts with its own satellites, and has launched satellites on other international launch providers. It operates satellites, and claims to be pursuing a human space program - though the capabilities of their orbital launches are some way off.
The Iranian space program, given the complexities of the nation's international position, can be sometimes mixed with that of its ballistic missile program - not at unlike the early history of the United States, Soviet/Russian, or Chinese space programs.
