It operates satellites, and claims to be pursuing a human space program - though the capabilities of their orbital launches are some way off.
The Iranian space program, given the complexities of the nation's international position, can be sometimes mixed with that of its ballistic missile program - not at unlike the early history of the United States, Soviet/Russian, or Chinese space programs.
