Payload Details

Payloads were those identified through Firefly Aerospace's own DREAM program, and a small commercial payload. The DREAM program payloads includes a picosat rideshare from the Libre Space Foundation, including two 1P picosats of their own, alongside a 1P and 2P picosat from FOSSA systems (FossaSat-1b and FossaSat-2), and a 1.5 picosat from AMSAT-EA. Other DREAM payloads included cubesats from the Hawaii Technology Museum and Teachers in Space. A drag demonstrator designed to de-orbit the second-stage of the launcher was contributed by Purdue University.

A 3U cubesat from Benchmark Space Systems and a component demonstrator from Firefly Aerospace rounded out the payload.

Launch Outcome

Launch Failure

Less than a minute into the launch, an engine failure caused a loss of thrust and vector control. This resulted in activation of the flight termination system approximately two and a half minutes into the flight.
