Virgin Galactic maintains a passenger facility to support operations around sub-orbital flights. Crew and passangers embark to their aircraft from here, before take-off and travel to launch altitude. It also provides a place for instruction.
Horizontal launch makes use of a 12,000-ft runway available at Spaceport America to allow for the launch of the combined spacecraft and carrier aircraft, and separate landing of the two after the sub-orbital missions are complete.
