Though founded in 1969, ISRO became much more notable internationally starting in the late 2010s, when the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle racked up 33 launches, including many for commercial customers - muscling its way into the launch services space otherwise held by Atlas V, Falcon 9, and Ariane 5. They have had a sustained launch and satellite program since the late 1970s.
Flagship missions include a Mars orbiter (successful), multiple lunar landers (one successful, one failed), a lunar orbiter (successful), and a solar observatory.
Though the agency has a human spaceflight program, and is actively working towards a human spaceflight capability - they have not yet launched crew in space.
