Astra pivoted to Rocket 4, entirely leaving behind efforts on Rocket 3, in late 2022. Unlike their earlier rockets, Astra planned to use procured engines, rather than engines developed in-house.
Under development since 2022, all launcher development at Astra Space refocused on Rocket 4 after the successful launch of Rocket 3.
