Additional Background

Since its inception, the site has been used for suborbital rocket launches and the launch of high-altitude ballons, as well as an engineering test site.

After signing an agreement with South Korea-based Perigee Aerospace to use the Spaceport for the launch of the Blue Whale 1 launcher in (tentatively) 2024, the site will begin being used for orbital rocket launches.
