Coordinates national space activities, and operates a low flight rate small-lift launcher for national interest launches.
In addition to coordinating limited launches, the agency operates some scientific satellites and has sent an astronaut to space in partnership with the United States (they flew on the ill-fated Columbia mission in 2003).
