The Exploration Company

The company's focus is currently on Nyx, initially for cargo, eventually for crew as well. The goal is both for re-usability as well as on-orbit refilling, allowing for increased sustainment of the spacecraft on-orbit.

• Undisclosed amount of pre-Seed funding came with the formation of the company, and from the a Germany aerospace company incubator.
• Seed funding rounding of $5.3 MM raised from Promus Ventures, Cherry Ventures, and Vsquared Ventures in 2021.
• Series A funding round of $40 MM raised from Partec, Omnes, and many others in 2023.

The Exploration Company was organized by a number of engineers and other senior staff who had worked at Airbus and ArianeGroup, in 2021. They have rapidly acquired contracts and potential contracts for their Nyx cargo capsule. In 2023 the company raised $40 MM to fund the development of the Nyx spacecraft.
